Alcohol and Other Drugs Nurse
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Evenings and Saturday rota as required)
Grade: Band 7 (£35,805- 38,540)
Contract: One Year fixed term (subject to funding)
Accountable to: Clinical Nurse Manager
Location: HAGA, 590 Seven Sisters Road, N15 6HR, DASH and EBAN

The post holder will work in partnership with HAGA, DASH and services at Bruce grove EBAN, along with GPs within Haringey to co-ordinate intensive case management to clients who are in drug treatment programs and drinking alcohol to dependent levels. They will formulate treatment plans, which will involve harm reduction strategies, such as alcohol reduction, maintenance stabilisation and detoxification. The post holder will support and train the staff of these agencies in the early identification and management of alcohol misuse and the use of brief advice to reduce the risk of long term alcohol misuse and complications of poly drug use.

Qualified Social Worker

Salary: NJC SP 32-34 (£29,464- 31,048)
Contract: Three (3) Years fixed term
Accountable to: COSMIC Service Manager
Location: HAGA, 590 Seven Sisters Road, N15 6HR, CYPS and in the community

The post holder will be required to work within and implement the duties and responsibilities of the Children Act 1989 and 2004 along with associated regulations and guidance. Other relevant legislation and national and local policies. Manage a children and families case load within a framework of supervision, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of appropriate action to ensure that children and families who have substance misuse problems receive an effective service from HAGA

Volunteering at HAGA
HAGA is looking to build its volunteer team. Volunteers will work across a range of projects, including administrative and clinical roles. All volunteers will be fully trained, inducted and supported by an appointed supervisor. Volunteers will have access to HAGA’s internal training programme which includes Identification and Brief Advice, Extended Brief Interventions, Safeguarding Children, and Motivational Interviewing. Reasonable out-of-pocket expenses for travel (up to £3.90 per volunteer session) and lunch (up to £3.50 per volunteer session) will be reimbursed in line with HAGA’s Volunteer Policy.
Applicants must be over 18 years old. All applicants will be required to give referees and complete a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check. Where an individual has a criminal record, HAGA may still consider the applicant depending on the nature of the offences committed.
All applicants should send a brief one-page covering letter and their CV (with the names of two referees). Referees can be either current or most recent employer or someone known to you for over two years who is not a family member or friend (i.e. GP, dentist, pastor, landlord, bank manager). A HAGA manager will then call to discuss your application.
